About a week ago I went on a trip to North Carolina to visit my sister. I had an AWESOME time, but i noticed when I got home my makeup was missing. So the next morning when I had to leave out the house, I searched all over the and found a couple of items I could use for a quick easy makeup look and I’d love to share.
Step One: Brow Pencil
I used to get my eyebrows waxed so now they’re not as full as I’d like them to be. So the first thing I did is filled in my brows with my Dark Brunette Precision Brow Liner. The tip I was taught for this is to line the top and bottom of your brow and then fill it in. It’s much easier when you have those guidelines to follow.
Step Two: Foundation Primer
I’ve shared the importance of primers before but to quickly reiterate, using primers helps your makeup go on smoother and stay on longer. It’s really great for those with oily skin or those who might have an event after work and don’t feel like touching up their makeup. The primer I used is Foundation Primer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15. What I love about this primer is it has broad spectrum SPF. That means it takes care of UVA rays, which cause aging, and UVB rays, which cause burning.
Step Three: CC Cream
The last step to any good skin care routine is some kind of foundation or tinted moisturizer because we should be protecting our open pores from all of the dirt, pollen, and etc that floats around during our daily routine. For a natural and quick look I love to use a CC Cream which stands for Complexion Corrector because as it gives you a little coverage for the day it is also helping to even your skin tone overtime. I love any product that works 2 in 1 so this is one of my favorites. It comes in 5 different shades from very light to very deep. I use very deep. Another quick tip, anytime you apply something to your face always want to grab in circular motions upwards. This is because even though you might not see or feel the difference but gravity is slowly pulling our face down more and more every day and that little action helps against this.
Step Four: Makeup Finishing Spray
This is a great final step to any good makeup routine because it basically seals the deal. For that I use a Makeup Finishing Spray. You spray your face in an X motion and then a T motion and now your make up has staying power of up to 16 hours. It’s as simple as that!
Step Five: Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss
To complete this fast and simple look I added a little neutral lipgloss on my lips called Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss. What I love about this lip gloss is that it’s packed with antioxidants and vitamins which help your lips feel smooth and the formula isn’t sticky. The color I have on my lips is called Golden.
